Encouraging Failure

"You are not failing, you are trying something new and you are learning". I am getting very deep into a book called "Limitless" by the author Jim Kwik. The book is about the power of the brain and how to unlock the power of your brain or better yet, how to unlearn the way we have been taught to learn the majority of our lives. We have always been taught that you must get all the answers right on a test or on your home work and whatever answers you did not get right was considered a failure on your part. We have always been taught to concentrate on what you got right and anything else was failure. This leads to a very negative mindset that we have been taught since we were able to recognize our abilities to learn. It has caused us to avoid the things we are not good at and to fear failing with inside ourselves and amongst others. But what if we had been taught this whole time that you were not failing in the traditional sense, but that you were learning something new and that failure was an expectation along the way and actually encouraged. Think about how liberating it would be to know that if I fail that it is ok. That I am learning from the mistakes along the way towards my success. Just imagine if we all would think along these lines and teach our children this type of mindset towards learning. I would imagine a more positive and vibrant way of looking at life and all that it potentially has to offer. We would rid ourselves of a closed mindset that says "this is how it is and can't and will not change no matter what i do" to an open mindset that sees nothing but possibilities. Some people will say BS to this thought process and that I am talking about a utopia that does not and will never exist, well I say BS to you. It all starts with just one person and that person is you. So what say you?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and as always your comments and thoughts are always welcome.
