The voices inside of you

"How often do you listen to what your body is saying"? Me, not enough. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where our body is telling us it's time to slow it down a notch, But more times than not we choose to not listen to our bodies and we push on through. The issue with this is we can sometimes succeed at this approach, but eventually life catches up and gives you the big smack down. For those of us who don't like to listen to our bodies, this approach will always come back to haunt us. Such as today. 

It seems that most of us if not all of us have been putting up with all the different viruses is one form or the other and I am no exception either. Today the fatigue of always going and the pushing through mentality caught up with me. Ahhhh but I did decide to listen to my body today. So instead of a long run like I usually do on Tuesday, it became the long nap instead. The long run will have to wait until tomorrow (lol).   

The point is that sometimes we really need to listen to our bodies and give it a break. Especially this time of year.
