Acceptance
Learning to accept can be one of the most difficult and rewarding traits to embrace in your life. A lot of us out here think and feel along the lines as fixers. We want to fix things that don't feel right or feel good. We all know that it is not possible to fix everything, but we sure give it one hell of a try. Now this is not a bad trait in itself as well. People who want to fix things all the time can be very passionate and compassionate people, but the realization that not everything can be fixed and acceptance is needed, is equally as important.
When we come to a place of acceptance on the things in life that we have no control over and can not be fixed, we gain a calmness in our lives. This calmness allows us to sit back and realize that some things take time and more often than not, they take their own time. Acceptance allows us to move on more freely. It allows us to accept the things we can not change and work on the things we can change. Acceptance allows us to deal with emotions and feelings in a much healthier and positive way. It allows for the healing process to truly begin when dealing with a difficult event in life.
It's hard to learn and allow acceptance in your life . It can be very difficult to let go of something of great importance to you. Letting go can sometimes make us feel like we will lose something, when in reality the memories will always be there when you need or want them. Acceptance allows us to grow an inner strength that was not there before. When we let go, we grow. And growth in a positive direction is what life is all about.
If you are holding onto things from the past or even the present, let them go to create a life memories of their own. So you can keep on creating your own life.
