Sometimes you gotta keep working
I had made a decision that Wednesday was going to be my last workout before my race. So I went into Thursday with this laissez - faire attitude and I ended up feeling like total crap physically and lazy as hell mentaly. This was not good.
In the meantime, one of our cars needed the front brakes done. We took the car up to my friend Ben's family tire shop (Leipold Tire) and as usual Ben goes above and beyond on his customer service and decides to rotate all the tires. He noticed the right rear tire had two screws in it. Apparently somewhere along the way this past year I through some fix a flat in the tire and never took notice of it after that. Now the issue is that cleaning out fix a flat is a royal pain in the butt. Next thing I know I get a text from Ben telling me about the fix a flat and that I owed him 200 burpee's for dealing with the mess.
This morning I woke up and the first thing I thought was " I am punching this laissez - faire attitude in the face today". 130 burpee's and 90 pull ups later (220 I figured I owed sales tax) the attitude and lazy mindset where gone. The moral here is don't rest on your laurels. You need to keep working both physically and mentally.
