The Storm

"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is for certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about."   Haruki Murakami

We are always faced with the storms that life throws at us.  How we choose to navigate these storms is what defines us as human beings. We are never alone in these storms. Usually the people that are most important to us are in these storms in one way or another. We have a responsibility to navigate these storms that keeps these people safe from harm's way. We have no control over how bad or how strong each storm is. But we do have control on how we navigate these storms. Are we going to let the storm consume us to be never heard from again or are we going to stand tall in the face of the storm and guide ourselves and others through it so that we all come out stronger in the end? Each storm life throws at us is different than the storm before, but as always our choices are what determine how we emerge from each storm. I choose to stand tall and face the storm head on. Remember, what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. Make yourself harder to kill so that the strength inside you comes out for everyone to see and draw off of so they can become stronger too.
